Thanksgiving in NJ

Kem and I made a quick trip back East to visit friends and family for the holidays. We were lucky enough to catch up with Tad and Dedee from medical school. They are both practicing in Pittsburgh and were visiting Tad's parents in Oakridge, NJ.

Their family is growing rapidly. Dedee holds the newest member to the family Elliot Muse Scheri. Another bonus was that I got to sample Tad's mother's famous pies (she had baked about 6-7 pies for the feast).

Back at my father's place we got to work preparing our own feast. We had some major setbacks with a still frozen turkey at 2 in the afternoon. Somehow we managed to pull off a feast by 7 pm complete with Papa's creation of clams marinara (an interesting addition).
