Disney World 2008

My uncle Kevin sponsored a family trip to one of his favorite places in the world- Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Here, my eldest brother's son Toshi proudly displays a Mickey shaped pumpkin grown in one of Disney's hydroponic gardens.

I found some interesting shots of the Little China display with some terra cotta statues

Melanie weathered the onslaught of 15 future in-laws with grace and poise. Fortunately, everyone was on good behavior for the reunion. It was wonderful for us to just get away together

We even took in a very Disney animal safari where we saw a surprising number of animals in a very short period of time. It is always difficult to see these beautiful animals trapped in a small mock up of their native habitat.

This guy was particularly photogenic albeit a little pissed off with us for interupting his afternoon.

We even took in a Cirque du Solei show there. I had to shoot in stealth mode to get these shots.

Here are the rocket nozzles of the incredibly large Saturn V rockets used for the Apollo missions to the moon. They were on display at the Kennedy Space Center

We even got to try out Segways around Epcot. They were surpisingly easy and intuitive to use. Once on them we were all hooked and found them to be highly enjoyable.

There were plenty of smiles to go around

But it was mostly about getting the family together which has become increasingly difficult with a growing family with many young children in four corners of the country.

Thank you Kevin for making it happen!
