Hoodoo's above Columbia Lake

We must have seen a hundred little deer during our trip. They are smaller than the whitetailed ones that I am used to from PA. They are kind of funny because they have huge rabbit ears. Luckily, they have become accustomed to automobiles and don't dart in front of traffic.








These are Hoodoo's above Columbia Lake. The headwaters of the Columbia River starts here in British Columbia between the Canadian Rockies and Bugaboo Mountain chain. Hoodoo's are rock formations of very loose, porous rock that are easily eroded by the rain and wind forming these tall narrow structures.
