Homer, Alaska

I took a drive to the western portion of the Kenai Penninsula to visit Homer, Alaska. Along the way I stopped to visit the Russian River to try to witness the migrating Sockeye Salmon. These beautiful wildflowers lined the trail.

A Moose and her baby also stopped to pose for me along the way.

Finally in Homer, I found some children flying their kites in an absolutely gorgeous setting along Cook's Inlet

After chasing him around the spit, I finally got this bald eagle to pose for me within range of my zoom. He was truly majestic when seen up close.

The obligatory postcard shot in the late evening light.
