Fall colors in the Cascades

Yesterday I escaped into the mountains to enjoy the fall colors. The colors were spectacular amidst the ultra blue waters of the spring fed Clear Lake.









It is here where the lucky hiker will find forested trails where footsteps are muffled by layers of fallen pine needles underfoot.










The placid cool waters cast perfect reflections of the autumn colors nestled in among the taller Douglas Firs tipped with the misting fog.
